Are the trails open year round?

Yes, the Royal Gorge Region has a mild climate making our trails accessible all year so long as recent weather hasn’t cause the trails to be muddy or snowy. However, please be kind to our trails! Never ride muddy, wet, or slushy trails. Cañon City is a small community with limited volunteer resources. Riding in the mud severely damages trails requiring a tremendous amount of time for them to recover.
