50% payment is required at the time of reservation to secure your lodging. The balance is due and will be charged to your credit card 14 days prior to first night stay. A confirmation will be emailed after each transaction.
Guests opting out of the optional Cancellation Guarantee must agree to the following Standard Cancellation Policy. Guests who cancel a reservation up to 14 days prior to check-in time (3:00 PM) will forfeit the amount of the first night rate plus tax. Guests who cancel a reservation within 14 days of the first night check-in time forfeit two night’s rate plus taxes. Guests who no-call or no-show are not entitled to receive refunds or to reschedule their stay.
The optional Cancellation Guarantee fee of 7.5% is automatically added to your reservation. With this added, anytime up to 48 hours in advance of check-in time (3:00 PM) you may change the reservation date based on availability, or cancel your reservation and receive a refund, less the 7.5% fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of check-in time, you will forfeit the amount of the first night rate plus taxes and fees; the remaining lodging balance less cancellation guarantee fee will be refunded to your credit card. Guests who no-call or no-show are not entitled to receive refunds or to reschedule their stay. Guests opting out of the Cancellation Guarantee are subject to our Standard Cancellation Policy.
Yes, we do charge a flat rate of $7 per room per night (tax inclusive) for our Single King cabin, Double King cabin, and for the Vacation Home Rental.
Check in is 3 PM. Check out time is 11 AM.
Absolutely. Each cabin has it’s own dedicated Wi-Fi – enough to stream movies from your favorite streaming service. Directions to access Wi-Fi are provided inside the cabins.
We do not allow pets in any of our cabins or glamping tents. There is a pet boarding facility about a mile from the cabins. Eight Mile Ranch pet boarding can be reached at 719-275-2035.
Our check in office is staffed until 8 PM from Memorial Day weekend through the middle of August. The rest of the year the check in office is typically open until 6 PM. Please let us know at the time of making your reservation if you will need to check-in late and we will make arrangements for you.
Our cabins are sitting at about 6,300 feet in elevation. Weather can change quickly around here, but generally in the summer months we see high temperatures reaching the 90’s and lows in the 50’s. During winter months daytime high temperatures average in the 30’s with lows well below freezing. We see very low humidity year round, and therefore very few, if any, mosquitos and bugs. Summer storms can come in fast so bring a rain jacket for most outings, especially in the afternoon when rain is more likely.
We do not allow smoking in any of our rentals. This includes tobacco, vapor, or any other form of smoking. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of the cabins to prevent smoke from entering cabins through doors / windows. Violation of this policy will incur a $250 fee. Be aware that during fire bans the only location where smoking is allowed is inside your vehicle. Please dispose of extinguished cigarette butts in the provided containers located at designated smoking areas.
We are located 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Colorado Springs airport. This is the nearest major airport yet is small enough that check-in, rental cars and security are very easy! Denver International Airport is about 2 hours and 30 minutes from our cabins.
Canon City is located just 8 miles east of the cabins on Highway 50. You’ll find several options to stock up on food and drinks.
You bet! The galley style kitchenette includes an apartment size refrigerator, a 2 burner flat top range, sink, microwave, dishwasher, glasses and stemware, dinnerware and flatware, as well as pots and pans. Please note the kitchens do not include an oven.
Breakfast and meals are not included in the cost of the rental. Please see our dining page to learn about operating hours for our full-service restaurant open seasonally.
We do not offer room service. However, our 8 Mile Bar & Grill does offer carryout.
The nearest dining is just across the road at our 8 Mile Bar & Grill which operates seasonally beginning in May and closing in September. It’s a full-service restaurant with excellent freshly prepared meals, as well as a bar serving cocktails, wine and 16 draft beers (with an emphasis on Colorado micro-brews). A number of other restaurants are available in Canon City located 8 miles east of the cabins.
Our luxury cabins were completed in spring 2017, so they are very new, clean and quite nice!
